Practice Dressing for the Weather: Print out the weather picture cards found below. Discuss the weather with your child. Use the cards to provide a visual for what types of clothes are appropriate for different forms of weather. Then allow your child to pick out articles of clothing they feel are appropriate to wear for the weather each day. Encourage your child to put on each article of clothing they chose independently. Prompt them with step by step directions or picture cards. If your child struggles with zippers and buttons, allow them to practice for a bit then provide hand over hand guidance to support them in completing the task.
