Center Activity 3: Gross Motor Activity- Red Light, Green Light
Red Light, Green Light Instructions:
This game can be played indoors or outside. The object of the game is to follow one step directions thoroughly while engaging in gross motor development. First your child begins to move in some form (running, walking, skipping, riding a bike, etc.) when they hear green light. When your child hears yellow light they slow down their movement. When your child hears red light they freeze until they hear yellow or green again. To extend on the gross motor, change the type of movement your child is supposed to be doing for each round. You can also add visuals such as red, yellow, and green signs. If you use the visuals you can challenge your child by only holding up the visual and not saying the instruction so that they have to be paying attention to know when to switch. |
Center Activity 4: Art with Miss Evans
If you have the materials at home, complete this craft and share a picture of your art with your child's teacher!
